Events in Greenwich

Entertainment has played a role in Maritime Greenwich for many centuries.

William Shakespeare performed for Elizabeth I in Greenwich Palace and Thomas Tallis, who is buried in St Alfege Church, was Choral Master to Henry VIII. The theatrical and musical traditions continue today, and there are also lots of festivals, exhibitions and activities for you to enjoy.

Our calendar of events can help you plan when to make your visit. There are spectacular performing arts during the Greenwich + Docklands International Festival, compelling plays and musicals at Greenwich Theatre, summer concerts and theatricals within Greenwich Park as well as concerts and recitals by the talented students of Trinity College of Music, who practise and perform in the Old Royal Naval College. Enjoy the show!
