Continuing the Museum's New Visions series of contemporary art exhibitions, former Turner Prize nominee Simon Patterson presents a newly commissioned work inspired by Jacques Cousteau, the famous marine explorer who developed the aqualung and pioneered marine conservation. The exhibition also takes a journey through Patterson's previous works including his unique London Underground map The Great Bear. .

Scott and Amundsen were heroes at a time when the world had just one remaining corner to be conquered - the South Pole. Based on their expedition diaries, this new drama interweaves the two journeys into a thrilling story of adventure and human endeavour, transporting us to an alien and unimaginably hostile landscape.
